And hot damn, the website looks sharp. Designed with the modern nomadic city-dweller in mind, these products are meant to be multi-functional and space-saving. While not on shelves yet, the products will be out by January, at retailers you have heard of, no less!

Along with Christopher Raia Studios, we’ve worked hard to develop the concepts and style over the last 10 months. We’ve really pushed to develop innovative products that don’t break the bank, and we think we’ve done pretty well: none of the pieces cost more than $30 retail.

If you want to know, our particular favorite is the Cut And Prep cutting board system. The prep trays snap tight inside the cutting board when not in use. But when chopping up your rutabaga or whatever, they slip just under the cutting board’s rim, allowing you to slide the chopped parts straight off the board into the dish. Yes, we are very clever.

Can’t say much now, but we’re excited about developing a new brand that will be devoted to recycled materials but also maintain a sense of creativity and fun. Think “eco-Alessi”. It’s gonna be pretty cool.

With a nod to Frank Gehry’s Easy Edges furniture, these dining chairs elegantly highlight both the strength and beauty of corrugated cardboard.

Made from recycled cardboard, the chairs come in two styles: the cubic Davis Bold and the jaunty Davis Italic. In both designs, the seat and back are cantilevered off of the front leg, boldly relying on the cardboard’s natural strength for structure.

The chairs have been featured in numerous publications including Architectural Record and the French edition of Playboy.

The shiny stamped tin shell has minimal text to maintain discretion. Flip it over, and the semi-translucent back hints at the contents, which are easily accessed via a hinged door.

GRAND has decided to stock the Cable Table in their Union Square store! That’s pretty sweet, right? Grand, if you don’t know, is a fantastic design and style emporium. They only carry clothing and products that fall into one of two categories: sweet-ass and rad-tacular. We are psyched!

One of Boston’s best mags for sourcing the haps, the Improper Bostonian, is profiling ONE Condoms in their current issue. The story is quite nice, and there are some rather sexy shots of our packaging. Also, it’s cool to share cover space with Junot Diaz. We should read his book, as it’s supposed to be, uh, pretty insanely great.

The gentlemen purveyors of oils on canvas, Jason Chase and Scott Listfield, have kindly offered to show off the Cable Tables at their studio space for the Open Studio Days this weekend, May 3rd and 4th. You should go visit them at 95R Oxford St (#52 on the map) because they are top-shelf individuals with serious painty skills. No joke: these two are the best artists you will see during Open Studios.

The Cable Table’s first public viewing will be at The Tasty Show Birthday Party on Wednesday, April 16th. The Tasty Show, an excellent TV show, blog, and resource for chocolaty goodness, is turning 5 years old and hosting a beer, chocolate, and cheese tasting event at GRAND in Union Square. Our very own Cable Tables will be on hand to help keep the delicious morsels off the floor.
